Candy and Miniatures

I was hoping I could write some more in depth blogs with my dowtime at work. Instead, here I am writing about my new obsession with candy. Yes that's right, I have turned into a little five year old. The month of October brought a plethora of candy at work, and I have sadly become addicted. Even now when I am plagued with a headache obviously induced by my sugar overload, I find myself reaching for another mini twix bar. When will the madness stop!!!????

Now to jump the opposite end of the spectrum, I wanted to talk about miniatures and movies. I watched a few of the old superman movies for the first time recently thanks to Chris. I couldn't help but take notice of the abundance of miniatures used in these old films to simulate the effects of flying. It seems a little silly to watch now, but by the end of the movie I realized half of the credit were dedicated to those special guys who devoted all of their time to the miniatures. Now that is not something you see much anymore. Was there ever an academy award that went to the best miniatures in a movie? I just wanted to give a shout out to all of those miniature builders from King Kong and Godzilla all the way to Superman. I'm not sure if there's much work in that field as far as movies go, but I sure hope you've all adapted accordingly.

Now I need to stop daydreaming about candy and miniatures and get back to work. Of course my husband just sent me a picture of the coolest Star Wars toaster in the world, how will I ever get anything done?!
